For CSEET Exam:
CSEET Course is the first level in Company Secretary Course.
After passing the Class 10th examination conducted by an examining body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government or the State Government as equivalent, students can provisionally register for the CSEET Course.
Note: Although registration can be done after the Class 10th examination, students can appear in the CSEET Examination only after appearing in the senior secondary (10+2) examination.
1.Through CSEET Examination: To register for the (CS) Executive Course candidates must successfully clear the CSEET Examination. Candidates are eligible to appear for both modules after completing 8 months from registration. Those who have completed 4 months to be eligible for a single module of the CS Executive examination. The registration is open all year. Candidates should plan accordingly before registering on the official website.
2.Through Direct Entry: Following candidates can also register for CS Executive exam. Without appearing in the CS Foundation/ CSEET exam.
l. Candidates who have completed graduation/ postgraduation in any stream except fine arts
ll. Candidates who have qualified CA final or CMA Final examinationor exam of any other Accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognised as equivalent thereto by the Council
lll. Candidates who have a degree in Corporate Secretaryshipor Commerce
Candidates must qualify for both groups of the CS Executive examination to register for CS professional Course.
Yes, the minimum educational qualification required to get admission in the CSEET is passing the Class X examination from any recognized board. Thus, a student can provisionally register for the CSEET after passing the Class X examination and can appear in the CSEET Examination after appearing in the senior secondary (10+2) examination (either from commerce or any other stream).
Further, a student can register for CS Executive Course either through:
CSEET Route, after clearing CSEET examination successfully, or Direct Entry Route.
Thus, even a non-commerce student can pursue the CA Course.

Many students from commerce and other streams enrol for the Company Secretary Course every year. There are various reasons why a significant number of students register for the course, one of which is the high demand for Company Secretary in India who are paid for their expertise. Moreover, the overall expense that has to be incurred for completion of the Company Secretary Course is much lesser than many other professional courses in India.
The CS Course takes approximately four years to complete, with a total course fee of around Rs. 80,000 to 1,00,000 (including coaching centre fees). Suppose a candidate does not opt for a separate coaching institute. In that case, the overall expenditure comes down to approximate Rs. 30,000 to 40,000, which includes all expenses such as registration fees, examination fees and training fees.
To qualify for the CSEET exam, candidates must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% in all four papers.
For CS Executive, A student/ candidate may appear for both the groups together or individually. He/She is declared to have passed the CS Executive if he/she passes both the groups. For passing a group, the criteria are as follows:
A student shall be declared to have passed in a group if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each group paper and a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of that group.
For CS Professional, A student/ candidate may appear for three or two groups together or individually. He/She is declared to have passed the CS Professional if he/she passes three groups. For passing a group, the criteria are as follows:
A student shall be declared to have passed in a group if he/she secures at one sitting a minimum of 40% marks in each group paper and a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of that group.
