    Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board was constituted as per G.O.Ms.No. 1806, dated: 29.11.1991. Presently the Board is headed by Chairman, an officer in the rank of Director General of Police and has a member in the rank of Additional Director General of Police. It has a Member Secretary in the rank of Inspector General of Police. It has a sanctioned strength of two Superintendents of Police and other officers and staff members to carry out the task of various recruitments.

    TNUSRB is functioning in Tamil Nadu Police department since November 1991 for the recruitment of the following personnel for the uniformed departments like Police, Prison and Fire service: 1. Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk, AR, TSP). 2. Sub-Inspector of Police (Technical). 3. Sub-Inspector of Police (Finger Print). 4. Gr.II Police Constables, Gr.II Jail Warders and Firemen (Common Recruitment).

    TNUSRB SI Endurance Test (ET): -

    After qualifying for the PET test, candidates have to pass the Endurance Test (ET). The details of the Endurance Test (ET) are given below: -

    There is no limitation for applying to any recruitment conducted by TNUSRB any number of times.

    The candidates should be aware of the age requirements for the post of TN Sub-Inspector. The upper age limit relaxation is provided for the reserved categories. The relaxation for candidates is decided according to the rules and regulations of the Government. Candidates who wish to apply must meet the following Age requirements.

     

    • The minimum age of the candidate should be 20 years.
    • The maximum age of the candidate should be 28 years.

    Age relaxations

    The Board provides age relaxations for the upper age limit to the Reserved categories. The relaxation is provided as per the guidelines of the Govt. The category-wise list of upper age relaxation is given below:
